I can't even purposely remove it. No, I am not joking.Make sure you have the right port before plugging in, because the teeth on the little lever are like 20 bigger than any I've seen before, and it took rather excessive use of a pair of pliers to get this out of my laptop. Pulling an actual tooth is easier. A light nail file to those large bits corrected the problem.I recommend testing each end on an ethernet port you don't care about, just in case.

The way the tab protector sits over the tab makes it extremely difficult to detach these on the 3 cables I got. I actually use a screwdriver to push the tab down, which feels silly but really isn't that big of a deal for me to do on the rare occasions I mess with them. Otherwise they're perfectly good cables. I'm using them at home with gigabit service and each seems to carry speed that without issue.

Ethernet function seems to work good enough. The pressure needed to remove from a device is EXTREMELY hard. The little push tab isn't formed at a steep enough angle to sufficiently depress the tab far enough to easily remove from a device. I use a flathead screwdriver to assist because my finger tips had enough pain.

Cable is great for the price with one flaw. Do yourself a favor and use nail clippers to trim the sharp tabs down a bit or you won't be able to remove without special tools. I'm talking about the tab where it catches after clicking in place, where it goes from thin (the one you press) to where it gets thick (the part that holds it in when it clicks). I also bent the tab all the way out a couple times to loosen it up, it's very stiff.

wont plug in to some of my plugs but still works.i guess id rather tight tolerance to loose

Good cables for the price, but they are hard to unplug. I had to use a needle nose pliers to get them unplugged. Very hard to do with just your fingers.

These seem to be exactly as described. To date, I’ve been terminating from spools, but I usually have 1 or 2 rolls to pull from so color coding terminals wasn’t really a thing for my gear. Adding these made the job so much simpler while making my gear look that much better. To be clear, terminating 1 large pull of 25’ - 100’ is simple and quick, but terminating 30 .5” strands becomes tedious.But 1 thing I’ve noticed about these, the jacks have a pretty big notch to keep them in the port. Certain switches seem to have more of an issue to pull them out from. Some mystery brand switches seem to have no issue but 2 UI switches and a small consumer model linksys has proved problematic.

This cable is pretty affordable and it worked in a pinch for me. Just keep in mind that the rubber part that covers the removal tab makes it a bit difficult to remove

I needed some short cat6 cables and these are the cheapest I can find. They work great except it is not easy to remove.

Terrible retention clips. You have to use all your might to press them in enough so they un-clip so you can unplug the cable. Both ends!

Very nice. However, the clips to remove them too short to be useful. Had to use a small screwdriver to unclip and remove cable.

Monoprice makes excellent cables at a good value. I needed a short CAT-5 cable to bridge between the motherboard and a panel mount, and this cable was perfect for the job. The build and materials used feel great, and so far data transfer speeds are as fast as expected.
