Value for money

This is my second Brother printer. I bought cheap ink for the first one and it only lasted about 3 years. 2nd one has had only OEM Brother ink used in for about 5 years old. I guess Brother is right when they say to use only OEM ink.

You have to have a printer at home, and you have to choose a brand. They all scam you out of money with ink.Can you refill these? NO. Sometimes the cartridge still has a lot of ink in it, but the printer thinks it is empty. Can you just pull the cartridge out and reset it? NO. The printer knows you put the same cartridge back in and remembers that it was empty. Can I just print in black and white? NO. The printer insists all the ink cartridges be full to do any printing at all. So that's another $30 stolen by Brother. One time I bought these cartridges at Staples and tried to get my money back because they were still obviously filled with ink. The manager refused to give any help at all. He just gave me a dopey smile. He didn't even offer any advice. I showed him the cartridge and the little window filled with ink. Does that look empty to you? He agreed that it did look full. He just stood there with that dopey smile refusing to help me.That Staples closed down and they put in a liquor store on that spot. Now I can at least drown my sorrows when these stupid cartridges are empty.

Like these alot. I've been reordering same product for a long time now. They have all functioned well with no issues and good quality printing.

For my printer to do printing for veterans

I order these quite often but for the last two orders, when I install the cartridges into my printer, it says the ink cartridges are less than half-filled. It's frustrating. I even install them into our second printer and it says the same thing. My husband and I have to print often and having to put in another order because the ones we just bought are nearly empty is ridiculous and it is a waste of money.

These cartridges give a deliberate false reading on the amount of ink left. The Brother printer will report low ink when there is PLENTY left. If you have 3rd party cartridges with a clear plastic side, you can see the ink sloshing around. All you have to do is use a black Sharpie or black tape to block the ink sensor window in the middle of the back of the cartridge so the printer will read the cartridge as being full. You will be SHOCKED how many pages you can print after doing this. With ink cartridges already priced ridiculously high for what they cost to make, there should be a class action suit brought for fraud against Brother and any other inkjet printer maker pulling this.

When I opened the bag, the box the cartridges were in was torn up and open. Not cool.

Colors look good. Work fine.

Fit my printer as described and the color print is just fine. Nothing like the proper product for no hassle.
