My husband and I got this to try before we go backpacking. Made it at home over a camp stove. Followed the instructions to the T. Turned out great. We were both pleasantly surprised. If you are someone that isn’t used to breakfast casserole, this might not be for you. Otherwise, tastes fantastic to say it was dehydrated. Love the saying on the bottom of the bag.

Makes a great hiking breakfast

Easy to make, easy to carry in your backpack, and it tastes great.This is a plentiful breakfast that sets you up for a day of adventure.

Mountain house has been around a long time and very good quality long lasting food these are great for emergencies there great for camping there great for an emergency use at home if you don’t have anything in the refrigerated at that “but on a personal note” all these freeze dried foods contain enormous amounts of salt anyone who is concerned about salt you can’t eat it every day! But they’re very tasty well-made lasts forever 25 years or better amazing

I enjoyed this breakfast meal.It was flavored well and the combination of ingredients and texture was good.For a hot breakfast meal that only requires the boiling of water, I’d say this is quite impressive.I also tried the southwest skillet by Mountain House, thinking that I’d like it even better,because I like spices in food, but that wasn’t the case.This regular breakfast skillet was the better one, by far.I wouldn’t call this a two serving package, however. Good for one.

I'll be perfectly blunt- THIS particular MH meal is not my favorite of the ones they make, but it's still better than ANY MRE. The long shelf life is perfect for preppers or campers... I keep a go bag for search and rescue that has to be light weight to take on aircraft or in an off-road vehicle short on space and payload.As with all meals, check ingredient list if you have sensitivities or allergies- and follow the directions. You'll find that MH is really the most reliable supplier of this type of food. There are a few others that are hit or miss, but MH has long been my go to and always will be first on my list.

Believe it or not they taste great and easy to prepare

Breakfast skillet is one of the better Mountain House varieties as long as you like the texture of freeze dried eggs. They can be a little bit watery, so I usually use slightly less water than what they call for. The breakfast skillet option is great because it adds in hash browns and pork sausage to give the meal more texture, so you don't get tired of just the eggs. This is a very lightweight option and even makes a great meal for lunch or dinner. The main ingredient is potatoes, so you do get a bit of filler, but I think it is a pretty good ratio. There is a lot of salt in this product so this isn't one of the meals I would recommend eating on its own unless you have burned a lot of calories hiking and need to replace some electrolytes. My only complaint is, even with all the salt, the seasonings are a bit bland and this product is immensely improved by adding hot sauce or some Tony Chachere's.

Another home run. Could also eat weekly as part of my regular routine. A bit more pepper thani would put in myself, but other than that, very very good. People who like peppers will love it even more. I recommend this company.

Who knew Freeze dried food could taste this good. Plenty for a meal and to share a little.

If you manage to get the quantity of hot water just right this is a fantastic breakfast meal! I am thoroughly impressed with the flavour and amount of food in one package.I will definitely be purchasing this again.

I have had Mountain House in my survival supplies for many, many years now. I have tested a few in the past and have been very happy. I fixed this at home one morning for breakfast. I thought it was GREAT even my wife liked it. There was quite a bit leftover, so I put it in the fridge. The next day, I warmed it up and enjoyed the rest of it.I have tried a number of different brands like this over the years and have always felt that Mountain House was the best, hands down. I still feel that way.It is easy to store for many, many years. Very light, not bulky. Easy to make. Just a wonderful product.I will order more when we go camping!

I liked this one. I do think 1 1/4 cup of hot water may be too much as it was a bit watery once it was ready to eat. I'd do 1 cup next time

This breakfast skillet tastes like homemade, and it's so easy. Just add water, close the bag and let set, then stir and reclose the bag again and let set. Because I live at high altitude (4500 feet above sea level) I have to let my meal set twice as long as recommended. Even so, this is a quick, easy and delicious meal that I don't want to save for emergencies.The recommended serving size is large enough to fill me completely.

This actually tasted good. Just add salt and pepper to your liking. I didn't expect much,but I was surprised. Took about 10 minutes to get ready. Ended up buying more when I got back from my back country trip.
