I love everything about this portable ac unit!! I live in Florida and the summers down here are miserable if u don’t have central air.. My room is the hottest in the house and running the ac all the time is really expensive!! Plus my central air unit is over 35 years old and doesn’t run as efficient!! Most of the time my house is 85 degrees but my room is almost 90 degrees.. I decided to try a portable ac because my friend recommended that I should get one! Our HOA doesn’t allow swamp coolers which would have been a first choice!! It’s not as loud as some of the people in the reviews were saying.. Quite opposite actually!! Swamp coolers are louder in my opinion!! Now that I have the portable ac, my room cools down within minutes!!! It’s been a couple days now and right away I noticed I’m sleeping better throughout the night and not tossing and turning and waking up in sweat!! I’m sooo happy I bought this!! One of the best purchases I’ve ever made!! Hopefully it lasts a long time!! Don’t listen to the negative reviews!! I promise u you won’t regret it!!

We didn’t have an ac at all this summer. It got to the point where we would be dripping sweat just sitting on the bed. We got this ac hoping that it would help even just a little. This ac did way more than I thought it would. It made our bedroom cold and comfortable again.

This thing is a life saver and it's pretty easy to install. I have a window that opens from right to left so I was worried it wouldn't hold up but it does without much struggle. I've been using it everyday for over a month now and I'm so glad I spent the extra money on a portable ac instead of taking my chance with a small window unit

This is Black Decker so reliable brand. It is AC humidifier so is a good deal. It also has temp set timer so you can use for pet comfort when away.Arrived early and easy minor assemble of vent system.

For being portable it does work great! I love the timer feature. The only thing is that u thought it would fit my window and it was short but We make it work.

This thing blows super cold air. 43 degree air. It's good! Just like many reviews say, it's worth it. Been running it for the last several months to cool a 900 sq ft room. Had 1000sq ft add to house and the original a/c couldn't keep up. The black and decker supplements very well. The new addition was staying 10 degrees cooler or less than the outside temp. It stays where I want it now. On a 90 degree day or hotter it does run about all day. Electric bill did go up by about 40. I got the 14000 BTU model. What's awesome is there is no need to dump the condensation that forms from the AC. Not sure where it goes. Magic!

A swamp cooler on the roof (only helps so much and in 100 degrees i was used to 80 in the house) and now adding in just one of these units has made the entire house so amazingly comfortable. I've been turning off the swamp cooler except for night time. For that alone I'm in love with this unit.Three things I don't like so much, one is the exhaust hose. It falls off easily it doesn't have any sort of clicking in. I also wish it was a bit longer You have to be very close to the window but I think that's pretty much standard. The second is the remote control it's not very intuitive and doesnt seem to work half the time. The third is the ability to direct the air flow, there is this little flap you can move left or right, which I assume the company thinks that will do something- but it's absolutely useless.

I bought this product because of the many positive reviews but I'm not getting the hype. It is so loud that when it switches from AC to fan, on its own, that it wakes me up from sleep! It won't stay on consistently, even when set to 64 and it's above 70 in the house. I'm not satisfied with this product at all but stuck with it bc I can't afford to replace our AC unit at the moment. This is also a replacement because when the first one did this I thought it was broken but the replacement is doing the exact same thing.

The window panel is long enough for my long vertical windows. I put it together in 5 minutes. It rolls around easily. It's smaller than most portable A/Cs. It isn't noisy. And best of all, it cooled quickly and well.

To cool down we live on the top floor,and the air conditioner was wonderful so nice thank you.

Recent So Calif heat and humidity were brutal. Ordered BLACKDECKER Air Conditioner, 14,000 BTU Air Conditioner Portable unit arrived before estimated delivery date. We had a handyman do the install because we were going to do a wall installation. This unit works very well, so very pleased.

The de-humidifier setting is so comfortable I fell asleep in my living room. My living room is about 350 square feet. The adjoining rooms were also comfortable. I can definitely see the difference. Central Air is the most superior air conditioning you can have, but I am renting so this was my only option. It is a great option to have if you are renting.

I got one the higher numbered units, works awesome. Much better than an in window unit, electric bill was cut down significantly.

Even while plugged into a dedicated electrical line specifically run just for the air conditioner, the unit shorted out and almost started a fire. Only had it for about two months. Contacted Black Decker about the warranty and they referred me to a third party as they don't service their own appliances. Another two months and several attempts at contacting this third party and I've received no response. BD hasn't responded when I informed them the third-party can't be contacted.TL;DR this thing is a hazard, BD will not honor the warranty, buy from another manufacturer.

My window is a bit higher than normal windows and it still reached up and fit where it was supposed to. I live in a 2 bedroom apt and it cools the whole thing! We keep the unit in the living room and point a fan into the bedroom at night. If you turn it on and keep it running a few hours before peak heat, you will be amazed at how well it works! Definitely recommend!!! So glad I got this one. Pretty simple to assemble. Only feature I don't like is the water valve doesn't have a hose, but I could care less given how cold it makes my apt 10/10!

Was sold a unit with parts that were incompatible. Also, Black and Decker tech support is just awful.

My partner and I moved to a top floor apartment with no central AC and got this right before summer started. It was fairly easy to set up and it’s kept our entire living room and kitchen area cool this whole season. It’s pretty easy to use and easy to customize settings for your specific needs. We didn’t notice any significant hikes in a our electric bill and have zero regrets. It was great to come home to a relaxed and cool home every day after a scorching summer. And the dehumidifying setting work great too!
