This product is not safe for Betta fish. They have a unique organ called a labyrinth which allows them to breathe air from the surface, and this will damage that organ.If your Betta has fin rot, salt is the best treatment. You can find more information on the procedure and dosage online.

Easy to use. Will make water cloudy but after 2 treatments my betta fish looking great. I wated a week between second treatment. Each treatment is one week long and involves water changes. Gave treatment in one gallon bowl but transferred fish to 3 gallon tank with filter.

Best product ever. Very good for the price. It's very easy to use. My Betta was dying, and once I put in this product, in 3 days he went from a lethargic and frayed fin Betta to starting to swim around and gaining color. I highly recommend this product !

My fish had severe fin rot six months ago, was listless and looked like he was gonna die anytime. I tried this out as a last-ditch effort, and he is still alive and more active than ever. I've never had a betta before so when I got my first betta at PetSmart (first mistake) I assumed everything would be fine! I got him a nice 5 gallon, two snail friends, conditioner, etc. and thought that my only problem would be a feeding schedule. However, my poor little buddy Snatch, (full name: Invasion of the Body Snatcher 1978) began to immediately start deteriorating. On the third day I got him he stopped eating and stopped swimming, floating listlessly at the top. I started researching and discovered he had fin rot and a gill infection.Luckily bettafix helps with both issues and after only three days his fins have begun growing back and he's started swimming around the tank again! You can see the photos above how he looks now, versus just a few days after I got him! Please use this medication sparingly though as you're not supposed to continue use after 7 days. You also will have to remove your carbon filter in your fish tank or it won't have the full effects, but may want to consider changing the water more frequently.If you're a new betta owner like me I highly recommend staying AWAY from Tetra brand, that stuff was killing my fish!

Smelled weird but they seem to like it

New Betta owner... I changed all the water added conditioner and rinsed everything really well, put in new filter thought I did a great job. Put my Betta back in 2 days later and he was at the bottom of tank in distress.... then his fins started looking all shredded and he was all clamped up for like a week. I was beside myself. So I desperately did a bunch of research and found that I shouldn't have cleaned my tank so well and new filters etc. I read a bunch of reviews, blogs etc. and decided to give this a try. OMG right away my Betta came back to life so to speak. I'm not kidding!!!! Fins are looking better, his color is looking better and he acts all normal again - swimming around and interacting. Love my Betta and THRILLED this saved my Betta!!!!!! Thank you Betta fix! I used this and also put in API Stress Coat

I added 18 drops like it instructed to a jar which is a quart, and put my female crowntail betta in the jar because there were white strings coming out of her fins and I was worried so I tried Bettafix. She started freaking out and gasping for air and wasn't swimming correctly and had a hard time, so I immediately removed her and put her in another jar so she can calm down which she did in a few minutes.I don't recommend this item as I've read from other sources and videos that it CAN harm or kill your betta because it can cause damage to a bettas labyrinth organ. For now I'll clean her water everyday. I'm currently conditioning my male and female crowntail bettas in separate jars for breeding that's why she's a jar btw.

Added to betta tank for swim bladder and he was doing good and then i woke up in the morning and he was dead. Do not by it will kill your fish!

My betta fish was acting sluggish not eating, and this did the trick. He's totally back to normal. Years ago I used this with my other fish and he also perked right up. I think it's important to follow directions exactly.
