I didn't know what was wrong with my Betta fish but he looked all wrong! I gave him this and after just a day or so he started swimming around and eating again. I was amazed! I was so worried he would die. Thank you API! Now he will keep swimming

Our recently acquired silver and black veil tail angelfish developed fin rot about a week after bringing her home. Tried Melafix, and it did nothing so I moved on to this. Yes, this stuff turns your water red by the time you're on the last dose, but it works and doesn't hurt the biofilter. Our angelfish's fins are now almost fully grown back. Very pleased with this medication - thanks API!

We tried a LOT of things before this but none of them worked (tried changing the water PH, tried the fin oil, tried erythromycin, etc.). We opted to move the fish to a big bin to avoid staining things in the tank and give more water for the medication and so it was a little bit of a pain but I will say that it actually resolved the fish's issue. We have a beautiful red and blue beta fish and the tail started to have problems, started to eventually wear away and then started to tear. We thought that it may be too late to fix the fish's fins but this actually worked. By the time it went back into the tank you couldn't really see an improvement but over the next few weeks the fish returned to a vibrant color with the fins improving and it seemed more alive. We will use this again when needed.

My poor Betta fish had really bad fin rot and I tried everything: adjusting the pH, melafix, changing tanks, weekly water changes. Finally this product did the trick! His fins were almost completely white and now he's back to his beautiful black and blue color. I am so relieved.. I thought I was going to lose him.

Great product! It's been a couple months since I purchased this, and it has healed my fish that was badly suffering from fin rot with the combination of this and tank salt. He is on his way to his fins already growing back slightly. I definitely recommend!!!

Have tried A BUNCH of other solutions for fin rot my betta was going through. Almost 100 dollars for a 5 dollar fish. This one was extensive but it cured my fish in one treatment and my daughter still has her fish

I bought this product as a precautionary measure because my new guppy had some holes in his tail. Based on symptoms, it seemed to be bacterial fin rot. There was no indication of anything fungal, and it seemed to be in the early stages because the fish was acting normal.After one day of using this product as directed, the water in my tank was light red like diluted cranberry juice, and the fish was acting lethargic. After using it the second day, the water was so dark red that I couldn't see my fish anymore. I discovered upon investigating very closely that my guppy had died. I don't think the fish died of any disease, because he was acting fine before I used this product. Also, my two other fish were showing signs of stress (chasing and nipping at one another), which I had never seen them do before. I immediately removed the dead fish, changed the water, and contacted API customer service to ask them why this had happened.Disappointingly, customer service gave me a generic answer about how if a fish didn't improve after treatment, then I must have been treating for the wrong illness. This answer of the fish would have died anyway makes no sense given all the information I provided. They also provided no explanation as to why my water would have turned almost black. My guess is that either you are supposed to adjust the dosage based on the actual water volume and not the tank volume (which means I overdosed the fish), or the instructions apply specifically to tanks with mechanical filters and do not take into account sponge filters. Either way, I am very disappointed in the product and the way that API handled my complaint.

Over a period of three months I have tried a number of fish medicines to improve my goldfish. She was a mess and not doing well - bloat, eye issues, fungus. I am a new fish owner and got her a mess and have been trying to fix her since in a hospital tank.Fin and Body cure got her swimming and eating well and she has the most life in her I have seen in months.I still have some fungus on her, but the improvement after trying three different types of medicines is great.If your fish is in really bad shape this medicine may get her/him on track.
