Over all happy.Easy to install.But was missing 4 stainless 1/4-20 lock nuts.Guess I gotta head to hardware store

I installed in about 1hour taking my time and double checking before drilling my outdrive. I had a swim platform installed on my 2000 Crownline 202br. My boat took forever to get on plane after putting on the platform ( the platform would plow through the water). I figured I would try this before putting on trim tabs. Boat gets on plane better than before the swim deck and the boat rides better in rough water.

I can't say this is any better than the whale tail I replaced. I have not noticed any improvement. What I do know is that this one and the others are way over priced for what they are.

Scerws are too short snd easily stripped phillips heads. Psin in the butt to put on.

Not doing what I expected, but a lot of people warned me about it. Really not a bad product. Great quality, looks really durable and the installation is simple and quick.I expected more of it. Getting a on plane quicker when pulling someone on skies, but it doesn't make that much of a difference. There is a slight difference, but if also feels like it's keeping the engine deeper in the water.Had it for 8 months before I installed it on my boat. When I opened the box the screws were missing. Never checked when I received it. Make sure all the parts are in the box. Had to order some from a local supplier

Fits MerCruiser Alpha One Gen 2 without any modifications. Template included is nice, but I just used blue painters tape instead. Align, and measure 3-4 times just to be 100 sure. I used a 1/8 drill bit as a pilot hole,then stepped up to the recommended 1/4. Took about 20 min to install properly. Looking forward to the performance upgrade!!

2022 Merc 60HP 4 Stroke - this motor does not have the big foot. It took me about 2 1/2 hours of cutting, grinding, and fitting to get this hydrofoil to work. I am very familiar with all sorts of tools. This is not a job for anyone without tools, lacking experience, or short on patience. I called the company and was told that minor altercations, including the removal of some material would not void the warranty. I was told to leave 1/2” between the outside of the 1/4” holes and the trimmed section of the hydrofoil. Both the left and rights sides of the front of the foil was trimmed. By-the-way - my installation came out looking factory with no signs of altercations.If you do take on this job, be very careful about the forward placement of the two 1/4” holes. Most of the fitting was necessary to allow the hydrofoil to slide forward in order to avoid drilling through the steering trim tab.The reason I expended so much time and effort is because this hydrofoil looks to be extremely well built and is custom designed.

Holes fit perfectly but I had to dremel out the inlet deeper to get the fin to move on closer so the holes aligned.Also bolts provided are barely long. enough, had to use longer.Locknuts are thin without much bite 11mm, I used thicker ones.Not as wide as my prior Doyle fin but is a bit deeper.Seems to bite well around corners holding me stable while prop is trimmed for speed.

Wants sure exactly where to mount so I got help from someone who has put on a few. It gets on plain but almost at full speed and going slow the bow is still very high. It's on a merc 125 2-stroke on a 19' mako

I just installed the 300 yesterday and was a pain in the butt only because I had to heavily modify it so it wouldn't hit my swim platform in the trailering position and I had to take my prop off to drill the holes. Other than that, I'm pleased with this product.
