this pool was loaded with sand, but still floats up to surface. Not exactly what I wanted.

our filter out port? I guess that's how to describe, it is pointed to that area of the pool where the steps are so the underwater swirl keeps picking the mat up and curling it into a ball. Its not sticky or heavy enough to just lay flat even under the ladder.

Product as described. However it is pushed away from my ladder by my pump water flow.

It does protect your pool liner however when you vacuum pool it slips out of place.

I am sure this will save the pool from any damage due to the steps moving slightly but I was expecting a pad with some cushioning. Instead this is basically tool box drawer liner colored a cute blue. So, if you want you ladder/step mat to be blue.....this is what you get.
