First and foremost, you lose all ability to complain about the quality of these subs simply based on the value / quality ratio. These units definitely meet and IMO surpass my expectations for an entry level sub straight out of the box. If you want to complain about the pricing then it's time to stop being so dam cheap and get yourself some mid level alpnies, kicker comps or dare I say it....Focals . If you do some research on general specifications for both amps and subs then by golly gee wow you may come to find out that ohms, voice coil sizes and types as well as a few others make a bigger difference than getting a 15in or 12in subwoofer that can't even be pushed by your 1,000,000,000 watt amp that you just spent $500 on while my dual/tripple 8in enclosure and 500-750w amp that I got open box for $75 is bumping the rocky theme song because its punching you in the chest with super tight and crisp jabs so hard that we turn down the radio together and scream ANDRIE......MAZON. My point is I have some really great sub builds for my vehicle and I would honestly recommend these subs for a solid clean and bassy sound when you pair the system correctly (amplifier and enclosure, deadening material is really something you won't regret) that is a quarter if not less than subs of similar quality with a really expensive trademarked name. From what I've seen it looks like more folks are worried about the name on their systems than the actual quality of sound, makes me want to pee in their lemonades and tell them its Splenda. The butyl rubber (or material they use, may be a different type because it almost feels superior, don't believe everything you read from the sellers, they can't even answer customer questions correctly 9/10 and sadly neither can the customers) seems solid enough, I've pounded these things like a teen couple on prom night who waited since softmore year because she took a celebacy pact with her best friend that you sometimes wish would slip and fall into a wood chipper....the first time I was able and was surprised at the lack of distortion even when the cones were pretty much extended to the max and and the coax hookups seemed tight, conducting well and overall really weren't as poor quality as I was almost sure they would be. This review is for the 10in models and possibly a new psychiatrist, i purchased one like new at $32 and the other for $44 I believe, sorry for all the info but I hope it made you smile and gave the info you needed.
