Exactly what I wanted for working in the yard.

This is a great little visor as it checks all the boxes for fit and function, It is a fabric covered foam visor with a coiled shoe string to keep it secured to your head. It is nothing fancy but I like that as I didn't want anything would draw attention. It is extremely lightweight and conforms nicely to the contour of your forehead. It does leave a little impression line but that disappears. The tension of the coil is just right for calm weather or light breeze but not secure for windy conditions so not advised for water sports. You can tighten it by pulling the coil further. I have some Joe Boxer visors that use a plastic u shape to keep it on but they have always given me headache after 20-30 minues. This one does not. The visor actually projects out a bit farther too on this visor: 3 3/4 compared to the 2 3/4 on the Joe Boxer visors. It isn't noticeable though like some of those really oversized visors - nice compromise. The other feature I really appreciate is that there is no band on the forehead to push my bangs up so it doesn't mess up my hair.

It is exactly what I wanted: a sturdier version of the foam-style visors sold at craft stores. It is comfortable, stays in place, keeps the sun out of my eyes without being big or floppy, and I love that it's small enough that it doesn't block my field of vision. I purchased the black because that particular color doesn't allow secondary reflective glare from the underside of the visor, which is important if you have painful glare sensitivity issues from cataracts like I do. I plan to buy more of these visors to keep in my car, backpack, and the baby stroller so that I'll always have one handy when the sun is shining bright!

I bought this because a friend of mine has one and I noticed how well it packs. It is the perfect traveling visor! It folds totally flat, is very light, and takes up very little room. It is also comfortable and keeps the sun off my face. She has washed her several times and it's still good. I haven't worn mine enough to need washing.
