I bought this mount to go into my Ascend D10 it fits perfectly. I love the fact you can quickly pop it off if you dont need it & it has stood up well on many fishing trips. My only complaint is it does not rotate unless you remove it from the mount and place it back down.... It would be a knock out 5 star product if it could swivel and lock without having to pick it up everytime

Very sturdy and easy to operate. The base is interchangeable with other Scotty brand rod holders. This makes it easy to switch between the spinning and the baitcasting rod holders. This particular one is made for baitcasting reels. Though a spinning reel can fit, it will be facing upward, with the reel above the rod.<br /><br />I have this mounted on my kayak, and I highly recommend. The only reason I do not rate 5 stars is because it does not come with mounting hardware.

only reason i didnt give it 5 stars is it is slightly difficult to remove. very tight fit. other than that its very well made and sturdy.

Bought these to go on my kayak. Installed well but does not include hardware. A little bulky, scotty sells less bulky ones that would suit a kayak better. These would work great on a dock or a bigger bought. Very rigid plastic. Function flawless. I can use the base for my other scotty products also like the extension for my go pro.
