I use this for rebuilding my engine. I apply it to any seals or metal on metal parts. Very slick for sliding tight seals into place and not damaging them.

First of all, I have never found a bad Permatex product and this is no exception. For high (90 etc) tooth-count ratchets, I have found Superlube to be too thick and 30W oil too thin. This stuff is just right. It's stringy, slippery, and sticks to metal. Don't use too much or it oozes out like a jelly doughnut. Use just enough to coat all of the surfaces and your ratchet will be smooth as silk.

I used this to Permatex assembly lube on the crankshaft and end bearing cap when replacing the rear main seal in my old Dodge 318 V8. Also coated the new seal with it before inserting. It is ultra slick, just like they say. So slick that if you don't use rubber gloves when you apply it you wont even be able to hold a wrench or bolts securely in your hands until after cleaning and degreasing your skin. Its definitely a very good assembly lube, IMO.

Used on cam , lifters , push rods, valve guides. Sticks like glue to ensure lubrication on first startup.

Exactly as described, comes out nice and gooey. Maybe other brands work just as well but i trust Permatex they've never let me down. This is good stuff and the price is reasonable. Highly recommended if you need assembly lube!

I bought this to put a Harley 88ci back together. This stuff is super sticky and slick. Best assembly lube I've ever used. I will continue to use this product from now on.
