Is exactly as advertised and replaced the heating element in a whirlpool duet dryer. This is easy to install but does require disassembly of the dryer.

Super easy to install. At least on a Whirlpool Duet with front access. If you are even a novice at mechanics, you can do this in under 20 minutes. Just check all sensors with a meter and go.

Not easy to get in place but that really isn't anything within the scope of this product power to change (they don't design the dryer). Once it's in place it works great!! This is the second one in the last two years I've replaced for this dryer so longevity I'm not sure about. I will say the $34 to replace this part even every couple years is far cheaper than replacing a dryer.

I checked out a video on YouTube before purchasing. I am pretty handy and thought I could do this replacement. I did and it is working great! My only comment would be there seem to be a bit of extras in the package, no instructions on what they might be for, one piece was not going to fit so I did use the old one- one of the sensors or thermistor, but luckily the old one worked just fine. I assume the extras are for other dryers that are along the same make, but some sort of list or info would have been super helpful. Like I said-after taking everything apart and putting it back together, I have a working dryer for a great price!

Works and makes the dryer work again. I've ordered three of these on my 11 year old Maytag dryer. They last about 2 years. Good deal for the price. If you want it to last a long time, order the OEM part instead.
