I've now owned this tool for a couple months. I'm a professional technician and need a valve stem removal tool almost on a daily basis. It has held up very well. I have used other valve stem removal tools, but have not held up when using on a daily basis. This tool is well constructed and the torque setting feels good and remains at the same amount. This tool is much more worth the money then some of those other cheaper versions.

I'm a tire tech and I use these every day. They're sturdy and we'll made and I've yet to tear up the pocket clip, tho I did super glue it on. Little larger than some others but I find that more helpful than a hindrance

Like other commentators have mentioned the foam handle slips and spins when you apply torque. i just pulled the foam handle with the white plastic liner off completely. This leaves a nice firm handle with knurling that works just fine when you torque it. Then just poke the foam handle over the prong end as a protective cap when you toss it in the toolbox.

Valve core tools are fairly simple tools. This one does work better than most due to the ratchet. In theory, it will keep you for over tightening the core. As others have mentioned, the rubber slips on the plastic handle. Glued mine, problem solved. Since I had to glue the handle, my rating should probably have been a 4 but all other core tools are insubstantial compared to this one.

This tool is a must-have if you remove and replace valve cores. Typical Lisle tool - very high quality. Highly reccomend this tool.
