Bought these for law enforcement purposes. They fit great and so far are super comfy. I'm kind of tall and have always had bad ankles but these feel great and support my ankles. I will say, they are a bit tight when you first get them (they need to be worn for a bit and broken in - this is normal so don't feel discouraged when you first put them on).

Been buying wearing Bates boots for 15 years. I consistently get a year out of them before needing a new pair. Last two pairs have fallen apart. The pair I'm wearing now that are in the pictures are three months old. Last pair (difficult style) fell apart at after approximately three months also. Thought it might be a fluke, but apparently quantity isn't a concern with Bates anymore

They were really tight when I got them but once I wore them in they are amazing. So easy to take on and off just slide my foot in zip it up and velcro it down. Just all around amazing boots

I use mine with a good orthotic insert and change them every 6 months.for work . and use the old one around the yard.

As a lawenforcement officer these boots are amazing. Comfortable, dry and very durable. Bates is my choice hands down........

The insole support is flat. They are great if you're not walking 12 to 16 hours straight but, outside of that they should be fine.

I have been a Danners man all my career (10 years) but due to Covid, I guess Danner shut down part of their factories and now the boots that i love and buy every 2 years, are unavailable. I was forced to gamble on a different company.I am glad I did.For half the price, but the same amount of boot, I picked up this pair of Bates's.I am now a fan for life.

I think the price went up on these since since my purchase, but at the time they were like 65ish? 8.5 W is sometimes hard to find for a good price and these are totally worth it! Side zip is great, worked well for my first real foot apparel after my ankle surgery.

Boots are probably most comfortable boots I've had thus far. I have wide feet and the 12W fit perfectly! Wasn't sure about the side zipper feature either but have been surprised at how much easier it is putting on/off the boots! Not to mention don't have to keep bending over to retie every time put on! These boots are also very light weight! Will be my go to boot from now on!

I just wear these when riding my motorcycle. I like the side zipper and the Velcro strap that holds the zipper tab down. Seems to be good quality leather and well made. Looks like they will polish up good and hold a shine if you need to do that and you can't beat the price.

Was looking for a piar of workbooks for my DOC job and I found em. Clothing stores around my town are impudent when it comes to anything above 12. So finding these for my 14x wide feet was a godsend. Love em
