I purchased these for my son for Christmas and he got to put them to the test this winter in the snow and sleet and said they worked perfectly. Great gift for officers!

I work in the trades and have to take a lot of notes for work. All my other notepads get the edges all bent up and it makes the book a mess by the time I'm done with it. This one doesn't, the pages are sturdier and it really is waterproof. My only issue is that sometimes if it gets dirty it can be hard to write on, but I can still use a ballpoint pen if necessary. Highly recommend if you work in the trades and have an issue with your notepad getting messy.

If you spend time out in the wilderness this would be a good thing to get. If you need, you can write a quick sign if you are changing plans, just in case you are listed as missing for some reason. The paper is still flammable, so you have quick kindling for a fire. It's not good for creating an ember or anything, but it is a good add in for a birdsnest if you are having problems finding dry materials for that. The covers also have map scales, conversion charts, and a small bit of imperial and metric tape on the sides of the back. I added a few to my kit here, that's all I know.

I started using write in the rain notepads back in 2012 and haven't found an alternative yet. From wearing them in cargo pockets, blazer pockets and back packets I have yet to have one fall apart. I have also had several go through the wash and summers in both Nevada and Louisiana. This is the first time seeing the blue ones and I really like the aesthetic.

I really like the weather proofing. Unfortunately as a left hander it doesn't help much with the ink smudging, but that's more of a pen issue than a notepad issue. Works great though.

Never wrote on this when wet but have used these pads for years in my work in industrial facilities. They hold up very well to everyday use. Hint: clip off a piece of the front cover at 45 degrees then the same for each page when used. You can then quickly get to the next new page.

They work great, expensive for little note pads but they don't shred up in your pocket like regular notepads after carrying in your pocket 12 hrs a day every day

Just use a pen with a Fischer ink refill for good dark writing/marks. The rite-in the rain pens are not good.

This is the only Notebook that I have found that can withstand sweat, water, wear, and rough conditions. I work in construction, and use these every day. It is worth every penny!

They write very much like regular paper not the typical plastic feel junk , pencil erases reasonably okay as well . Best field paper I've ever found as an outdoor engineer.
