I bake a lot for my small b b and scones are a staple of my menu baked with sour cream and sometimes I run out. This product is ok in a pinch but lacks the fat structure (I think) that the real stuff has. Scones were slightly drier than usual. Not great!

Would prefer it in a can for long term storage - great calories for the next emergency.

I use it in baking and to make popcorn flavors. SC/dill is a favorite!

REally great to have on hand and for mixes. Quite often my sour cream goes bad, it's great to have a powder form for mixes and such. Flavor is a little strange if not mixed with something. good value considering how much sour cream i've wasted

From a price standpoint, store bought sour cream is probably a better value. I have not really gotten into what can be done with this powder. If you mix milk, and this powder till you get a sour cream consistency dip, it tastes like sour cream. You can make dips, but I think you will get less dip with the powder milk, than real sour cream price per ounce. Oh, and add dried onion soup mix to get the french onion, cheddar cheese for a twist... R

I have used the SOUR CREAM it is good, but remember it is from powder. I was surprised at how thick it was but is a bit grainy. It is fine for what I bought it for, Other people in my house will not like it I am sure. For different things I will buy the real sour cream yes but this is real also. Their is things added to this.

It is convenient to store use, but the flavor is somewhat more tart than standard sour cream.

I love that if I don't have sour cream or need a small amount, I can make some rather than opening up a container and wasting so much product.

Definitely not sour cream like you are used to. It's very watery. I opted to use it in sauces when I cook.
