This folds up nice when not in use. It can be checked in at the airport but we used cubes inside to keep contents from getting messed up.Only con is it's a bit bulky carrying around when full.

I own a few Gonex products and have generally been impressed with their construction and quality, so I eagerly snapped up one of these 60L duffel bags on a Lightning Deal to consider and compare to the other large duffel bags I was considering purchasing for an upcoming Africa safari.(For safaris of any length other than a few days, 60 to 65 liters is the sweet spot: It's right at the outside edge of the maximum size allowed on small safari planes, and your bag must be soft -- no hard sides or big wheels.)I was very impressed with this duffel for the price, and so I'm going to keep it, but I decided not to risk having this simple nylon bag be my only piece of luggage on a month-long trip that includes 9 flights. It might hold up fine, but it also might be asking too much of a simple nylon bargain bag like this. So I decided to go with the much more expensive bags from Eagle Creek or Osprey that are tougher, more weather-resistant. and have features like U-shaped openings, inner linings, big 10 zippers, more grab handles, and compression straps.HOWEVER, this Gonex duffel bag beats those by a mile in terms of weight and packability. It weighs next to nothing, and folds up nearly flat, very easily. That makes it a fantastic extra bag to toss in the car for a weekend trip, or to pack on a long trip where you might need a backup or an extra piece of luggage to carry purchases back home with you.

It's light weight, but the material is not canvas. It's OK for carry on, sports uses, or check in with large light stuff, such as clothes, blankets, and etc. It's not sturdiness for heavy goods.

This bag is as advertised: lots of pockets and zippers, seems to be well constructed, but the color (drab gray) is really ugly. I'm going to put some flower designs on it to give it some color and interest. But it holds a lot of my stuff and will make a great travel bag.

Convenient if you don't use the shoe compartment. Takes up half the bag might as well put them straight into the bag itself. !!!BUT!!! Other then that... it was definitely a Convenience having an extra bag to lugg around all our extra Junk we got on our Vacation.

Great travel bag. I use it about twice a month. However, the zipper broke after one year of use. I should've gotten more use out of it, for the $30.

We have traveled with Gonex duffles for several years. We carry them folded in our hard side luggage and use them as extra capacity on our return trip.Very durable. Holds tons of nonbreakable stuff.

This bag looked like it was described and I'm thinking it was also as good as described. However I was convinced not to check any luggage so I kept the carry-on and returned this one.

I purchased this to replace a duffle bag my aunt had given me over 20 years ago. I hope this one stands up to the challenge. We used this on a trip and it did not disappoint. It's roomy and sturdy. We did not use the shoe compartment so I'm not sure how much we would have been able to fit if we had. I like the additional pockets on the fron and the straps options. Because of the material you could probably wash this on gentle cycle, which is a plus. For the price I'd recommend.

A good weekend bag but wasn't big enough for a week away. I like the separate shoe storage area. I didn't use it because I had a bigger bag that held more. It feels very sturdy and strong. I gave it 4 stars because the picture was deceiving about the actual size.

I used this 40 L bag as a carry-on medical equipment bag from Phoenix to Bogota. At my layover in Miami, I found that the medicine bottles and misc. equipment had broken the zipper of empty shoe compartment. After pushing things back in place, I could open and close the nylon zipper to reestablish its integrity.I was able to to reinforce the the zipper with 6 safety pins and arrived with no further damage and will be able to use it again (with safety pins in place)

So far I can say this was a great buy. It wasn't as large as I thought, however it held up for what I needed it for. I went on a weeks trip in a compact car. It was five of us. So with that said it did the job. Will update on my next adventure with this bag.
