I was lucky I bought this case when I did. Two days after receiving it I was at sea, and my radio was accidentally bumped overboard by a passenger. The case worked as advertised and I was able to easily recover the unit from the ocean.

A must-have for HX40 marine handheld which is so compact that it does not float on its own due to miserable water displacement despite being an IPX7 product. With this cover case HX40 displaces more water and floats in salt and fresh water. Nicely made in an eye-catching emergency sunrise orange color. Fits HX40 perfectly and is very comfy to hold, allows both the OEM belt clip of HX40 to be where it needs to be and a lanyard. I like it!
