This is indeed one of the most beautiful ornaments that I have seen before. I have purchased a couple of Reed Barton ornaments in the past but I had not bought one that was made of sterling silver. When I opened the box (a very beautiful presentation case), I actually said Wow because it looked about like an ornament that costs a proverbial arm and leg should look...at least to me. It was the showpiece of the entire tree and I pointed it out to visitors ad nauseum (if you pony up that kind of dough for an ornament, I feel that should be required). Nonetheless, it was the talk of the tree and the season concerning ornaments. It is made exceptionally well without any imperfections that I could notice or see, it held well on the tree, and it is actually a pretty good chunk of sterling silver. If you absolutely had to sell it for the spot price, you could (but I would not recommend it). Something that I found to be interesting is that it did indeed tarnish a bit by the end of the season. I live in a very humid and temperate part of the South so I was not surprised. The tarnish actually just reminded me that it is a quality silver ornament and it seemed to prepare it for many, many years of Christmas seasons to come.Pros:BEAUTIFUL...seriously, it's beautifulSolid/heavy (but still stays on the tree well)It's a great quality of sterling silverGood way to start an annual collection (but costly)Should last many generations and can/will be handed downAwesome presentation/storage boxCons:Is NOT cheap (in any sense of the word)Does tarnish (all sterling does)If you love the season or just love ornaments...or maybe you want to give someone a very thoughtful gift that will last many generations, this is possibly a good option. It is amazingly crafted, it looks great, has a beautiful presentation box, and it will be handed down for years to come.

This ornament is very nicely packaged. It comes inside a red velvet bag, which is inside a red velvet box. It is extremely lightweight, and thus you don't have to worry about a branch on your tree sagging with it. I was surprised that the red tie wasn't already attached to the ornament, hence the 1 star being taken away. For the amount of money you're spending on this ornament, I figure the least they can do is attach the tie so that it looks nice.

This 2020 Christmas Bell ornament is STUNNING, and it really stands out as a beautiful piece on our tree. I wanted something classic and beautiful this year when looking back on 2020 in the future. We'll remember this year for a lot of things, and it is so nice to have something uncomplicated and beautiful, despite so much sadness for so many this year. The weight of this ornament is very lightweight, which surprised me, but it's actually really nice so it doesn't weigh down tree branches. The bell sounds just as you'd expect for its size and weight, giving off a light and pleasant ringing sound. This is definitely an heirloom ornament that will be passed down in my family for years. Timeless!
