I've been able to use this item to help lift almost every heavy item in my garage. I even take it along in the back of my truck when I know that I'm going to pick up something heavy that will need to be put in the back of my truck.

The lift is a good value for the money, it was easy to assemble and does the job. I mounted it on a four caster base which makes it easy to move around the shop. saves my back

Instructions were ok except for how the guide wires attach. Weight is fairly light. It fit on my tree stand rack on my ATV which makes transporting into the woods good. Haven't used on a deer yet but seems use as advertised. Good price, recommended for anyone having trouble getting a deer on an ATV.

I added plywood platform with hinged front for easy loading. The whole ting folds up to lifting columns when not in use. Also added small removable casters to move it around the shop. Perfect for my bad back!

I like the freedom this device gives me to lift heavy objects in my home without having to annoy a neighbor for assistance. I just used it to hoist a new window air conditioner into place. So glad it was on the market!

I use it for lifting deer into my Polaris Ranger. It fits perfectly in the bed. It looks flimsy but it will easily lift 300 pounds.

It's been a great product so far, cables didn't interfered as I have read in some reviews, it was a great help when transferring a deer into my SUV.

I'm not a deer hunter but do occasionally need to hoist up my portable generator into my RV. I'm also going to try to use it (maybe with a little modification) to get my electric bike up into the bike carrier on the back of the RV. My Chihuahua liked the ride when we put him in a box and tried it out. This is the ONLY lift I could find that was affordable. Too bad it doesn't have wheels. It REALLY NEEDS WHEELS WITH LOCKS. I may try to put some on myself. It's not perfect but a five star good enough Oh, the directions are horrible. There's a cool old farmer type who puts one together on YouTube. Watch that! And make sure you put the wire hooks on right. I messed that up the first time and had to take some of it apart to redo. Deer are nice. I hope you won't use it for that!!!!

I didn't buy this to load deer into my truck. I bought it to lift several hundred pounds of washer/dryer combo up into the 3 foot high closet in my RV. It just barely fits, with about 1/2 on either side. No room to hold it. This little lift picked it up just level with where I needed it and my wife and I just pushed it into place. What would have been a practically impossible chore was quick and easy. I've used it to load and unload furniture and it just works great. I did mount a piece of plywood with some self tappers to make a more useful platform. Strongly recommend.

I use the lift to load my generator into my Jeep to use it for power tools in a remote area. It works well and easily lifts and lowers the generator.

I'm a very handy middle-aged woman, but needed something to help me lift heavy objects. This is just what I needed! I just wish they would have updated the instructions to show the design change that fixed the cable unhooking issue. The instructions say to place the base with the slots facing up, but there are no slots, just hooks, so I assembled it with the hooks facing up. It never mentions what to do with the ends of the support cables, which I later learned attach to the hooks, that need to be facing down. Now I have to take the entire base off so the hooks face down! Duh! It would also be great if it had locking caster wheels. They should really think about removing the dead deer from the packaging and advertising. I think it would appeal to a wider audience if it was advertised for lifting heavy objects, not dead animals. I almost didn't buy it because of the packaging.

Not bad, the winch could be better mounted. But all in all it works as designed.

The product is good when it is working. It uses a cheap winch, the spring lever broke and can not lock the winch in to secure the load. I contacted Viking and have never received a response. I have to make sure to tape the lever to either lower or raise the winch. I was not able to locate a similar size and strength spring to fix the problem. It is just a small spring, but the manufacture does not acknowledge my request. Bad company service.

For years I've been using one of those hitch mounted devices that allows you to raise your deer up to tailgate height using the same hand crank winch that this device uses and that device has served me well over the years but the drawbacks were that it's very heavy, very large, takes up quite a bit of space in the back of my truck and required me to remove the towing ball that's always in my truck hitch, assemble the heavy 2 piece device, secure it in the truck hitch, pull out the cable, attach the gambrel and then start cranking to raise the deer up. I will still use that device for the times I want to skin and butcher my deer while it's hanging from the back of the truck, but I was really looking for a device that was much smaller, lighter and simpler to use to simply get my deer raised up and into the back of my truck easily and this Viking Solutions tool was the answer. It was very easy to assemble and came with good instructions. Once assembled it quickly folds flat for storage in your truck and it takes up very little room. It functions exactly as advertised and works very well. All you have to do is drag your deer into position then simply turn handle on the winch and the deer quickly and easily raises up to the level of your tail gate so you can just roll the deer into the truck bed. Couldn't be easier. The other nice thing about this tool is that it can be used for many other lifting jobs around the house. I'm very glad I bought this tool and very impressed with it's design, ease of use and it's efficiency. Great tool to have for hunting and at home.
