I wanted wolf bookends for this series and they are perfect for it. The bookends are solid and heavy enough to keep the books in place, but not so heavy they can't be moved easily. There are small felt circles on the bottom. One of the bookends only has 3 instead of 4, so it's slightly off balance. It may have come that way, or may have fallen off in the packaging I threw away before I realized they were supposed to have them. It's only noticeable if you push on the bookend with a little effort and it does not affect its ability to hold the books in place while still preventing scratches on the wood furniture.
