My seven year old was enthused to get a water bottle that looked like a soldier. I mistakenly thought that this cover contained the actual canteen. He was disappointed when it arrived. It cost me another $8 to order a plastic bottle to fit it. When he had that, days later, he is happy with it. He's decided to keep GUM in the little pocket on the front in case he gets hungry if we hike on a trail. Be aware you need a bottle with it.

Convenient sling case for Nalgene water canteen. Easy to snap on/off and carry over shoulder. Easy to drink while walking. All good except strap allows for bottle to hang up side down. My wife added a few stitches to keep bottle upright.

I like most everything about these except that they aren't exactly olive drab, but other than that. They'll do just fine.My 1 quart Nalgene canteen fits perfectly.
