First point: These meals have gotten ridiculously expensive. $11 for a freeze dried meal. Second, they say there are two servings per package but that doesnt work for me. I often backpack alone and cannot store the leftover portion. In fairness, everything has gotten expensiveI have always bought Mountain House as I like their meals. They taste very good. I have not busted open this container yet as Im finishing up my previous Mountain House container. I am confident that the quality and taste of the food will be very good. If there was something they could do to bring down the prices though.

These are tasty dishes though serving size says two if your hiking or paddling hard your going to need one per person has been my experience. Buying them in bulk here has been cheaper than buying at big box stores. There are some better freeze dried meals on market but costs start climbing and honestly they are not that much better.

Really like most of the Mountain house products. But I would recommend sampling the different flavors before purchasing big quantities. There are a few i dont like but i think its just personal preference. Not a bad product. Would definitely recommend.

Mountain House freeze-dried meals are excellent for their intended purpose and are of the highest quality. These are the same freeze-dried meals that are packed into US. Military and NATO rations. What is hard to believe is the current price in November of 2021. These buckets were in the $50 range just 20 months ago. The price increase is hard to justify for what the product is.

Was convenient and a great back-up option for nights when cooking fresh wasn't an option.Needs more variety than just beef stroganoff.Can get cheaper alternatives at Costco Walmart.

I tried this mountain house classic at Alta Lakes, Telluride in Co., for lunch. It was quick to cook and very handy, put boiling water in the packet for 5 minutes and stir well, wait for another few more minutes, and serve. I wasn't hoping for 5star hotel meal, but it did a job as intended.This becomes a must go with my trip thing!!!!!

A little bit of a discount from buying them all individually but like the bucket and its all sealed together. Kids like them we use them for camping and hiking

Can't go wrong with Mountain House foods. They actually taste great. I like how the bag can be used as the bowl, just need a fork, spoon or spork. Yes, Mountain House is on the pricier side, but it is worth the taste. I have tried many others freeze dried foods and they all have terrible after tastes except Mountain House.

I bought 3 of these exact buckets for S$45 each last year which was a fair price because they taste the best of all freeze dried food. I bought this to add to my hurricane food stash and since there is little left to choose from I paid the grossly inflated price. Don't buy this...shop around for small packets and then buy a bucket with a lid and store them that way.
