I really like the timer. I use it to power on an outlet that powers a heating tape in my gutters to keep them from icing over. When it is cold, but sunny, I turn on the program and then it runs with it on 2 hours, off 2 hours, all day and then shuts it off overnight. Works great. Was super easy to install and program. The only thing I don't like is that it doesn't have a backlight or other LED to indicate when the switch is on. The switch is in my garage, so the lighting isn't great and it is really hard to see which mode it is in or if the outlet is currently energized because I can't really read the screen. I have a different honeywell switch that controls the outside lights right next to it and it has a backlight and led to indicate when the switch is on. It is so much easier to see at a distance what is happening. I took off a star for that, but other than that, it is great so far. It was one of the few programmable switches I could find that is rated to handle a 20 amp circuit.
