These are the gold standard for everyday competitive pickleball play. I switched to the durafast 40 balls for a while and those play a little faster and have better feel. The x-40 balls last much longer! With the durafast balls, you may get 5-6 games out of the before they crack (much less if it is cold outside below 55 degrees). The franklin x-40 balls will play 15 games without cracking most of the time. If I am playing in a tournament then I would probably play the durafast 40 balls, but the franklin x-40 are a much better value with a very similar play.

These Balls crack at colder temps here in Co. But other wise decent balls. I understand that there are balls that are made for colder temps, someone bought some and they are guaranteed not to crack.

I am new to this sport, but heard good things about these balls. So far I have been happy with them. I can update after years of playing to give more details. I am looking for durability and value. We will see.

Every ball has the holes drilled unevenly. At first I thought my friends didn't like them because of the color, then I went back to read the reviews and sure enough the holes are completely off. Some are real close together and some are far apart. I will never purchase Franklin online again.

I really like the way these balls were manufactured. There isn't the ugly seem that you expect to bust after one good hit. Only issue is after using once on an outdoor court, the balls get pretty scuffed up already.

A small number of balls had plastic fragments that fell inside of the balls.Otherwise a fantastic price $161.

When placed up against other pickleballs, we found this Franklin model did not have sufficient bounce for an outdoor pickleball. It bounced very similarly to an indoor ball.

The seam misalignment is the least on these. We want US made balls.

This ball is great but the red color in late afternoon is not easy to play with. Not going to buy another sleeve of these anytime soon.

I REALLY wanted this color to use during my games with my friends. However, we found that in a less than sunny day, they are a little harder to see, which delays reaction time and in a fast match, that can be a killer. There may be other colors (light bright orange or green) that will be better than pink. They are of excellent quality for durability.

These are great balls, particularly for the money. However, when playing outside, I prefer a heavier ball. These are very lightweight.

I like the color of the balls. It improves visibility for a player.

These pickleballs are nice but crack fairly easily. Has a good feel, bounce and carries well. I've found that many brands crack easily so I guess we have to learn to live with it since they are made of plastic.

Rating a pickleball's durability is difficult, and longevity is subjective, but Core balls seem to last a bit longer.
