Phenomenal tube in the V1 spot. The long plate filament provides high gain, a warm yet articulate treble response, beautifully rich overdrive, and low noise. Bass and low-mid response is articulate and tight; harmonics are nuanced and clear. This tube works particularly well in my Fender Blues Jr. tweed and I think it is far superior to Groove Tube, Mullard, or Tung-Sol alternatives. An easy and oft-overlooked preamp upgrade for middle-of-the-road and boutique guitar amps. Don't hesitate!

Excellant 12AX7 tube. Does well in any position but seems made to order for V3 phase Inverter position on my amp. Pushes the power tubes, plenty of gain, and very quiet with no hum or fizzy tone.

Perfect. The tone has a bit of emphasis on the mids and is perfectly clean. Just the right amount of punch. Arrived extremely quickly too.

Nice tube at a reasonable price. I use these in V2/3 positions, I prefer the Tungsol or Mullard in the V1 of my amps.

I got this for the phase inverter slot in a Rivera combo amp and I am happy with the results. In my experience, Sovtek tubes have been very durable which makes this the perfect tube for a phase inverter that needs to be pushed hard.
