Very easy to use and makes a good punch in steel and aluminum but after a little while I started to have problems getting a good consistent punch and would have to punch multiple times in order to get a good punch.

I had digital calipers from this brand and loved the quality, and this punch is on the same level. Best ever, no, positively good for a reasonable price - yes. Spend a couple extra dollars on this punch and get quality over a crappy cheap one that you'll hate.

I am by no means an expert, but it punches well in low gauge metal to get a hole started. Sometimes you have to mess with the spring to get it to punch, but it isn't a deal breaker. I don't use it often, so I can deal with it.

Good marking punch. I have used it on various woods, metal and plastic. The spring is very strong even when twisted to minimum tension, making the marks too aggressive for pattern transfer into soft wood.

I wish it was a little stronger on the highest settings.I need to press it several times to get a good indentation on spot welds on automotive bodywork sheet metal but, it works.

I've used this center hole punch only a few times, but it appears to be well made and it is accurate. It has an adjustable spring that allows the user to the desire pressure to release the hole-punch pin. I find this device reliable and moderately priced.

Not the highest quality, feels a little wiggly and wobbly in the hand, but does the casual job just fine. Works on wood, metal, even dry wall. Prevents the bit from walking or straying too much from the intended target.

I really wanted to buy the Starratt piece, but couldn't bear the high price. I went with this one and so far, so good. Works as intended, with good range of adjustment tension.

Works pretty good, not as deep of a punch mark as I had hoped but still works really well, especially on thinner gauge steel.

There's a place for this in the shop, so long as the shop doesn't work with metals other than tin. For everything else, it will do the job nicely.

Did not work at all when I first got it. Took it apart and found parts in backwards. After reassembled it worked but, should not have had to take apart to begin with.
