Direct fit for 2012 gmc 2500hd 6.0 gas. bought this and 2 3.5 band clamps and cut my stock muffler off and bolted this one right up with no problem. cut as close to the stock muffler as you can and you will have plenty of room to bolt this one right in.

Sounds great, quieter than stock muffler and gave me about 1 mpg more of fuel economy

This muffler is the same size as my factory muffler and all stainless steel. It has slightly more rumble and no drone. It feels like it is a little quicker too. If you want a performance muffler on the quieter side, this is it.

I had this installed on my 2020 Silverado with the 6.2. I put this same muffler on my 2019 Suburban with the 5.3 and the sound was perfect. At my age, I cant stand loud. I want that little rumble on start up, and that magnaflow sound when I put my foot in it and that's it. No drone at highway speeds, no waking up the neighbors at 4am, just a truck sounds like a truck. This muffler gives me all of that.My 6.2 Silverado has the flappers before and after the muffler and the 2 resonators at the rear of the truck. I left all of that in. Should have had the flappers cut out because its not much louder over stock other than when im gassing on it, but thats ok. I still feel that low end torque improvement immediately.I will say that the original exhaust is 3.5 but the inlet and outlet coming out of the muffler is 3. So, this muffler fit perfect. If you wanted to go with the 3.5 inlet and outlet you would have to buy item 12909 which is roughly $40 more and you would have to cut off both flappers.At 58 y/o, I've tried all the other name brands but magnaflow has never disappointed me with the performance and sound. I hope this info helps someone!

Great sounding mellow muffler. If your wanting something more free flowing but only slightly louder/deeper sounding than stock this is what you want.

Put this on a Ford e350 van with the 5.4L. Absolutely love the sound. Barely noticed at idle and a nice note under acceleration. Zero drone at highway speeds but a good healthy rumble when you kick it down to pass or pull away from a stop.

Installed on my 2016 express 2500 with the 6.0. Had it installed by a shop. Sounds great. Definitely coming alive after a couple thousand miles.

Way closer to my taste then chambered mufflers no drone in my 07 ram and 98 LS swap zj

This is for all you Chevy owners who bought a 20 or 21 Silverado with a 6.2. I have done some major experimenting on 2021 Silverado Trail Boss with the 6.2 starting with a 14 Magnaflow and flapper delete (came with only one). It was obnoxiously loud and had a terrible drone at highway speeds. I then put a 18 Magnaflow with the flapper back on and it was much better but still had a noticeable annoying drone at highway speeds. I finally installed a 22 Magnaflow (part 12589) without the flapper and it has a perfect tone and most importantly no drone at highway speeds. It sounds awesome at WOT! Total cost for all parts/labor at a reputable muffler shop near me was $495 which includes me keeping the 18 Magnaflow. Still significantly cheaper than any of the cat-back exhaust systems on the market. Hope this information is helpful!

Installation was on a 2002 GMC sierra . No cab sound .Get on it has a nice moderate loudness.
