They are what they are for mine is to replace somewhere ones that I felt served no real purpose it's plastic and not well made but they are styrdy enough for air flow...real cost was maybe close to 15 I got them at about 3 each...

Valterra make good RV products, so I have no doubt a correctly sized unit would have worked fine. I ordered the wrong size and missed the return date.The units supplied with RV's typically have no control of the AC flow, these units allow the flow to be balanced throughout the RV.

It works stiffly. It will take quite a bit of air pressure to cause it to open. It doesn't work for my application so I'm returning it.

While I feel that this was pretty expensive for an air vent that you can close off it fit perfectly and it keeps the top bunk in our trailer from freezing my daughter during the night.

Snapped right in place of my existing vents on a Salem 27RKSS. Just used the deflector part, didn't need to replace frame. Nice to help control air flow
