It's a good tool for us as it keeps out tortoise's enclosure at the perfect light and warmth cycles. We got it to go on vacation, and it works just great. It did not come with instructions though, and we had to figure it out. It wasn't too difficult once we got the instructions online.

I love this, easy to use. When I'm not home it turns off the tank and on when you set your hours.
