He loves it. I like how the mat helps file his nails down, mimics there natural environment and isnt loose so the risk of impaction is extremely low. Would buy again!

Loved the idea of this product as I wont use actual sand due to impacting risks. But this was amazing. Looks great too and helps keep nails filed down on reptiles. However when they go poo on it and you clean it up all of the sand come with it leaving just the foam pad underneath. So I thought allowing the poo to dry before cleaning would help that and it did not. Too expensive to be replacing this often.

Great natural substrate for reptiles (i have a bearded dragon) and its better than loose sand because 1. your reptile could eat the loose sand accidentally and 2. you don't have replace it as often. I would suggest buying a new one every 4 months (it starts to smell) and to wash it weekly (scrub with a toothbrush and water). Gravel does fall off when you wash it, but not a ton at once.

I tried switching to the reptile carpet and I noticed my gecko had stuck shed for the first time since I've had her. Switched back to this Sand Mat and haven't had a problem since!

I've been ordering these carpets and love them! What I usually do, I would add extra sand on top so if our lizard poops, it doesn't ruin the carpet right away and easier to clean. Lasts for months if properly taken care of

It's hard to clean quickly, but it holds up pretty well if you don't use too much liquid and go carefully. I like the rough texture. It unrolled pretty easily and was easy to install.

I'm giving this a 3 star only because my beardie, Gwen, loves it. And I love listening to her little feet patter back and forth. What I don't love, the cleaning. If you clean poop off of it, make sure not to use too much water as the rocks are just glued on and they'll all fall off. As soon as I took it out of the box, all the rocks started falling everywhere. Not good quality, but Gwen loves it so I deal with the mess.

Others said theirs smelled like glue or chemicals. They must have got one fresh off the line. The one I got had zero smell and was able to install it right away. My bearded dragons really lazy so I haven't seen him react to it yet but hopefully the rugedness trims his nails. 5 stars

This is a good product. I dont know how well it will clean or hold up over time. I used for a display, and it looks great.

I bought this because I wanted something that would naturally help keep my beardies nails maintained. She has a 40 gallon tank and this sandmat fits in it perfectly. There's a little extra but it's not even worth trying to trim down. I put the sandmat on topnof her terrarium carpet for a little more insulation. It's a nice snug fit. The only thing is, there will be the scratching sound from the rocks and the glass while putting it in. I can't say how easy this is to clean but with it being sandy/grainy it would be better than cleaning the carpet. I absolutely love this and would recommend to anyone!

this item is perfect for my tortoise. I use it as a feed mat since I don't want him consuming the wood chips I use for his general bedding. I cut a piece off and place it use his heat and uv lamps. it's VERY messy but I knew this having purchased it before but worth it. if you try and clean it you end up spraying half the sand and rock off so it's not very reusable but it's perfect for a sunning and eating area for my small(but growing quickly) desert tortoise.
