These gloves are huge and makes it hard to pick up anything, like scissors or a clipper.

These are nice gloves I just got a little hands and they don't fit me the greatest but they will keep you from getting bit

We use these gloves for handling dogs of all sizes and breeds. The gloves offer great protection to mid forearm. There is a loss of dexterity that is to be expected with the padding so plan to adjust what mitigating measures you are able to take (i.e. don't expect to be able to buckle a muzzle yourself while wearing these). The fingers are a but longer that needed, even for my large hands, which is the only drawback.

I have small hands and these would be too big for most big men to wear. I just use these to play with my cat. I put my hand under the bedsheet and she chases it. She was getting a little rough so I decided to wear this as protection. It works well enough. It's too bulky and big. I wish these came in smaller sizes but it works. I'm sure for handling aggressive animals this would work great. I don't feel a thing when playing with my cat.

We purchased these to play with our dog and you can definitely feel when he bites down hard. He also chewed the thumb off the first week of having these so I only gave three stars for durability.

Starting taking care of a group of stray cats in my neighbor. All very sweet, but one is still very feral and didn't like being held. She would get very mean when it came time for vet check-ups or taking medication, and I got quite a few good scars from her before I finally went ahead and got a pair of gloves. These have worked really well with her so would recommend using if you have spicey cats.

I have had several feral cats; one was very feral and as the glove are rather bulky, I was unable to get a good handle on her and had to resort to other options to capture her. ON the other hand, on a little less feral cat, I was able to hold him and put him in the crate (he resisted with the back legs, without these gloves I would have been badly scratched). So, bottom line, they do seem to protect against claws (I don't know about bites though).

Hands are well padded for playing with my young German Shepherd, but the gauntlets are unpadded, so bites on the arm hurt.

My husband and sons use these when play fighting with our dog. She knows she can only play fight when the gloves are on and it's fun for all of them. These gloves are strong and sturdy and have held up well in the 7 months that we've had them.

These gloves should certainly protect from scratches and bites. I got them for use with feral cats and kittens. They definitely provide confidence in handling a scared or angry animal. They are bulky and you should expect to be able to display a great deal of dexterity with them on, but the safety of their thickness makes up for that. I've only used them once and, though the cat didn't bite and claw as I anticipated, I was certain that I would be protected, had it done so.

Well made but and comes in handy with feral cats. However, the gloves are a little big and stiff. Really need to work them in before use.

These gloves are too bulky to do anything that requires fine hand control/grip. In my case, I was trying to use them to cut my kitten's nails, but I just could hold the paw in place and expose the nail with these gloves, much less hold and use the nail cutter. If you have to pick up and move a crazy animal, these gloves would be perfect, but you can't do much else with them.

They seem to be very tough gloves, probably perfect for what I need. However, it would have been nice if I had known how large they were. I was really buying them for my wife who has small hands, and I thought perhaps they would work. They didn't.

This is the first time I have purchased a product like this. I have not had it very long but so far it works. On the flip side if you have small hands it can be cumbersome to use but it will save your hands from cat scratches and bites.
