I never owned a house before this one and don't know a lot about maintenance! I ordered the caulk cartridges, then read the instructions, so now I am waiting for the caulk gun to arrive. From the instructions, it seems I will very easily be able to caulk around my windows doors. I have known the Red Devil product line for years, so I have no doubt I will have a good experience!

This gun is a heavy duty gun as advertised. I liked the fact that it is made in America and by a family company. I used this with Dow U428 to install a windshield. Anyone that has used the stuff will tell you that it is very thick and difficult to dispense but the gun held up fine. I'm sure this will be in my tool kit for years to come.

I used this on some urethane for a windshield and it had no problem pushing it out. I previously tried two other low cost caulking guns and they bent and where not able to push the urethane out the tube. I wasted a whole tube of urethane and destroyed two cheap caulking guns before purchasing this one. If your working with any kind of thick caulking then don't hesitate to buy this gun.

This is the worst cauking gun I have ever had. Yeah it looks nice and is comfy on the hands, but it just keeps squirting even if you release tension. Super hard to get cartridges out especially if they leak from the back. What a horribly designed product. Shame on you Red Devil! Always regarded you as the best but have thought twice and now just stick with the cheaper cauk guns, atleast I can insert and remove cartridges and not have caulking squirting everywhere uncontrollably!

I've always had issues trying to caulk my DIY projects - would have to use two hands on my husband's old gun to get even a little blop of caulk to come out and then struggle with it for ages to lay down a very messy line (can't even call it a bead). But now, thanks to this little gem, I CAN CAULK! Was laying down silicone in a newly tiled shower and after doing one corner with the old gun, pretty much gave up and ordered this gun. At 60 and 125lbs with small hands (size 7-8) I could FINALLY lay down a (near) perfect bead. Yes, there's still a little ooze after releasing the pressure lever but if you release shortly before the end of your line, the extra is minimal. Friends had recommended I spring for an electric gun but I'm so glad I didn't fork out the money for that! For the occasional caulking that I do, this gun is perfect. Don't hesitate, buy one!

High ratio causes the caulk gun to drip alot every time. Very messy.

Haven't used it yet but solid construction. Plunger plate is held on with large nut so it shouldn't let loose and go into the tube.

Purchased this to use with Sikaflex Construction Sealant. Wow....So much easier to apply. I pulled the muscles in my wrist trying to use my regular chalking gun. I was able to finish the job using this new gun.I ordered this gun and it arrived 2 days later.My husband agrees...great buy.
