Plastic rain tapes makes me feel claustrophobic in the head neck is always too small. This has an ample neck area but the hood itself will pull down with a drawstring to the face so it's comfortable. But the Cape itself isn't hot! It actually breathes And yet it is totally waterproof. I've used it twice I am in a wheelchair and it's actually big enough that I can unsnap one of the under arms and the whole back of the cap will go over mt chair back So I don't have rain water running down my back through the seat on the battery compartment. I know my situation is unique, and if you were a normal sized person it would just be a generous Raine cape/poncho! I am 100 satisfied and 100 thrilled and it wasn't even expensive! If I could give this 10 stars I would

Lighter than most good ponchos. Good tear resistance. Cool and fast drying.

I am 5'6, 220 lbs, and bought this poncho for my own use on rainy day hikes in Georgia, USA. I wanted breathability so I don't overheat. This poncho is perfectly waterproof and very roomy and comfortable. The snap closures allow air flow. My only dislike is that the length is knee length (on me) front and back, meaning that wearing even a small backpack causes the back to ride up too high for me to be able to sit and keep my seat area dry. I still like this poncho so much that I bought a second one to have a spare. Great for hiking on a rainy day trail!

What outdoor enthusiast could say anything negative about frog toggs. They are light, so for the weight of a common jacket, you can probably pack up to 5 frog toggs items. Ponchos are breathable. They are not the most waterproof, but with a sil-nylon layer they make a smart light winter emergency wrap, and add enough warmth to be worth taking in the pack when your headed to hunt or fish.

Light weight, inexpensive and compacts well. Most importantly it keeps you dry in an unexpected down pore!

I'm using this for a trip to a rain forest. It's very lightweight and compacts nicely. I haven't used it yet, but design gives a lot of coverage.

Material and seams are good and waterproof. Comfortable and easy to dry and repack. Y only wish is that it was a little bit bigger/longer, but overall a good value and I kept mine.
