Seems very secure, I hope the rubber stands up to the cold. I added electrical tape around shovel where it mounts into the fasteners, the shovel was just a little small. Built it out and the grip now is better than I imagined. Great option for $11 instead of a pricey tunnel bag. Don't need a tunnel bag since I already have an Avi pack with another shovel in it.

These grippers are so nice. They hold my tools tight. So they don't raddel in the bed of my truck.

I bought these to mount a couple of VSSL storage cylinders to the roll bar of my Jeep. The description says they hold items up to a diameter of 2 1/4. I measured the tubes, and they're a little over 2, and definitely not more than 2 1/8, and the clamp doesn't come close to fitting. Fortunately, the strap is just long enough that I was able to take a utility knife and cut out a notch that -- with some stretching and kneading -- was just big enough to fit. They actually work pretty well, but if you're trying to mount something close to or more than 2 in diameter, you may want to find something else.

Nice sturdy grippers, but I was using it for just over a 1 inch metal pole and these clips were just far too big to grip it tightly.

Not the easiest to latch and unhook, center screw doesn't feel as secure as 2 points of contact would feel. Not sure how they'll fare long term in the heat and UV but they work and are a decent price.

Instructions call for using 10 screws to attach and say two clamps will hold a high lift jack...I'm not sure I'd trust them for that kind of weight on a vehicle mount. Seem better suited for shovels and axes mounted to roof racks.

I use these to hold a shovel and an axe on the tailgate of my Jeep. They are well made and perform well without rattling. Measure your item to use and buy the correct size to get the optimal performance.

I used 2 sets of these to mount a Burke Bar and Burke JR Bar on the inside of my F350 truck bed. They stay put and do not move or fall out when properly locked down with the straps. I would say these are very good for long narrow items such as these or conduit benders or any other such tool, as they enable you to stash things completely out of the way (practically concealed from the top) as can be seen by the center picture.HOWEVER - these require a formidable amount of finger grip and hand strength to lock together properly, and sometimes can be difficult depending on your angle and reach. Still wouldn't trade it for any other method as these things stay put when I make the effort to stretch the strap and lock properly!

The clamp is what I was looking for. I just think that the center bolt mounting should have two on the ends like the mini clamps. I have it attached with a hose clamp, but I am waiting for it to move or rotate down. I was not able to use a bolt in the configuration I have.
