I've bought Crayola sidewalk chalk often and this batch seemed different. The colours were very pale and the chalk sticks broke easily - with one drop from tiny hands.

Great sidewalk chalk. My almost two year old daughter has been using these for quite a few months and they're still holding strong. They're thick enough that they don't break when dropped (or thrown lol). I just wish it came in a plastic container for easier storage. We ended up ditching the tiny cardboard box and put them in a ziplock bag instead.

Cons: Colors are not very bright and the chalk breaks easily.But otherwise, as expected. Pro is that it washes easily with the rain.

It lasts. There are a few repetitive colors, but quality is nice.

The colors are described as bright, bold Crayola colors but, with the exception of the black piece, all are pastel colors. None match the colors shown on the box.

My 3 year old grandson immediately commented on how chalk didn't roll down our driveway. One broke and no one is saying how that happened. I'd buy it again.

Great gift - gets them, and parents, away from a keyboard!

Chalk is probably the easiest thing I can gift a kid that is both fun and within budget. My entire family probably gets every kid chalk for any gift-giving holiday or birthday. These I bought for my cousin for her birthday. She's seven and loves to chalk everywhere. The great thing about chalk is that it encourages them to go outside and get creative. The chalk washes off right after or slowly fades away. We draw everywhere on my mawmaws carport. If you have more than 2 kids, I would suggest getting a bigger box of chalk because they will fight over some colors. Truthfully, I'm always fighting the younger kids for the blue and white chalk, but that's just me. Cons of chalk? IT gets everywhere. Holding chalk for long periods of time, your palms tend to sweat, and the chalk rubs off on your hands. Then you can't touch anything without rubbing some of that chalk juice on other surfaces, including yourself.If you're bad at buying gifts or toys are just too expensive and you're looking for a gift for a child under the age of 10, then yeah chalk is a safe bet.

The colors are much more in the pastel range; I bought these specific ones because they looked to be nice, bright colors. But they're light weight, and a size and shape that are great for my one year old. They do break pretty easily.

This was a perfect buy for the spring and summer. My kiddos have had hours of fun and my drive has never been so colorful. Will buy again next year.
