Installed as a secondary/backup bilge pump. Tested with a high-volume water hose and the pump was more than able to keep up with the flow, so I am pleased. The wiring instructions were definitely a bit confusing and differed a bit from the switch/float instructions; however, I was able to get it figured out and properly installed. I do not anticipate having any issues with this pump; however, I will update my review if I do.

Appears to work very well. Tested it multiple times.Went with the rule-o-matic float switch. Had a “Brand X” which was not reliable. Finally, I am comfortable I won't have to worry about it anymore.

Unit is small with an approximate 1 outlet hose fitting. Both unit and outlet are smaller than the larger 3000GPH pumps. My local Hardware stores do not carry adapters for easy use with PVC piping. I had to be creative with two types of PVC adapter, cut radial slits in them, force together and secure with hose clamps. A local marine store like West Marine is not available in my area. The leads are standard Rule 28 I think. If you need longer leads get the UL rated pump with 6' leads (twice the price). You need a marine float switch. 10 Amp should be good. I'm using a 15 or 20 AMP float switch from old install.Pump runs quietly and does its job. 2000GPH rating is at zero feet. I think a 10' lift is also rated at lower volume.

Pumps like it should and not interested in gambling on an off-brand to keep the boat afloat!

I can literally say I owe these things my life. They've kept me floating numerous times with their reliable and massive pumping rate. If a pump stops working, I never go to the pump first. It's just gotta be something in the vessel wiring or float switch, because these don't kick the bucket easily.
