If you want a rugged shoe that feels durable...these are the ones.If you want a work boot and going to be on your feet all day... then pass.They are squared at the botton like converse, but but the inner sole is rubber for water run off. That means that it feels like your standing on a rubber mat after a time.I use mine for motorcycle riding, yard work, casual walk in woods and its perfect for transitioning from one to the other... But If i were still force Security... Id hate em.

Stiffer than roadkill in winter. I curled mine up in a ball and stuck them under my mattress for a few days, feels a bit better. Definitely need to be broken in hard.

I bought these on Dec 19th, 2022, here it's March 2023 and I have worn them everywhere from Church (that's why I bought them) to Golfing, not one problem yet, this will be a continuing review until they fall apart well see how good they are through this summer and beyond.So far they are good shoes the inserts took time to get used to they are rubber and since there are holes in the side of the shoe for water it's good, I'm not a fan of the hole in the side but I get why it's there.I will update this review mid-summer of 2023.

Pretty amazing pair of shoes. I have a wide foot so when I got regular on these I was a little concerned but once I put them on and took them for a test drive around town in was sold on these shoes. The are pretty amazing. A wide probably won't hurt for me on my next pair but I am completely satisfied with how these fit and feel.

Just like any military footwear, you need to break these in. They are comfortable, but it takes a little work getting them to that point. I love the look, and they are very well made.

...honestly, I have 4 pairs of these skids in various colors...they are, in my opinion, the perfect kick around shoe...the silicone insert might not be for everyone as they can be a pain to get into, just change it out for a conventional shoe liner, however, for a dive shoe, they can't be beat...they stay tight, drain well, are comfortable soaked and they fit well in my Scuba Pro fins...easy in easy out...2 thumbs and 2 toes up!

That being said spec ops beware! The tread rubber is very hard rubber, making the shoes failry noisy

They run small. I wore Altama boots for years, so I ordered the size I was used to. They seem to run a full size smaller.

These boots/shoes are very well made, look nice, are very comfortable (unless you need a lot of arch support, these are pretty flat), and are a lot tougher and grippier than they look like they should be. They are also nice and light.The only downside I have noticed so far, however, is that my socks always seem to end up with new holes in them after wearing these shoes for a day. I don't know how or why. Maybe the soles require a sacrifice, it's hard to say. I haven't heard them chanting in Latin or setting candles out for any strange rituals, so I can't be certain. Maybe they just really love feet and don't want anything coming between them and those tasty little toes.Anyway, if you don't care about wearing socks, or plan on doing some hiking in wet environments, these will probably be fantastic.If you just found a pair of handmade socks from your dear late grandmother, I would look for something else.

If you are going to be constantly on your feet on hard surfaces you may want a different insole, because running shoes they are not. but if you are looking for pretty comfortable durable shoes for just about any occasion or activity especially soggy then these are the ones.

Purchased these for station shoes, light weight and easy to slip on. Only thing I recommend is buying some quality insole's. That made a huge difference
