The book by itself is good.. But my son dint like them since it had no colors and the pictures were not so attractive.

These are OK. The text is certainly simple enough, but the 34;plots34; (if you can call them that) aren't all that engaging. My 4.5-year-old can read them, but nearly always chooses Miss Rhonda's Readers over these (which have a better plot and better pictures, but don't seem to be much more challenging).
