I got this and the lower shield to use when cooking for several people. (Or sometimes just for me when motorcycle or canoe camping. I eat a lot.) It's bulky but very lightweight, stable, and works with a skillet, pot, or kettle. If you know what to expect from alcohol stoves, you'll be very pleased. I do suggest you investigate actual measurements first. Some of my camp cookware doesn’t fit. Some does. (For what it's worth, when doing the solo thing I tend to use an old school stainless canteen cup with a Canteen Shop grill-top with a Trangia burner. Or my trusty old SVEA 123. Old school works.)
