This thing is BEEFY. It is heavy, heavy duty and stands up to campfires. Grilled cheese to desserts it will make anything!

It is very heavy, and seems well made. I haven't used it camping yet, but once I do, I will update the review.

Bought for my husbands birthday. It seems heavy duty and we are excited to test it out if spring evet gets here! We have several single pue irons but after my husband burnt the handles off of TWO last year it was time to invest in a new one.

Works well - rusts easily, though.

Works great right on the fire. The double size isn't as convenient as you would think. We have only been making one mountain pie at a time because some breads are too large for 2 sandwiches at once. Cleans really nicely but make sure you read the directions for proper treatment! Seems like it will last us years to come!

I remember this from when I was a girl scout on camping trips. However I burned, badly, my food while camping this past weekend. Maybe it was because I used Texas Toast instead of normal sized bread, even though it did fit into the holder perfectly. More than likely I just kept it in the fire too long. The first time I took it out, the cheese on my sandwich was not even melted, the second time I took it out, the bread was black. I will try again on a future camping trip. I just need to get the timing down correctly.

I thought buying a double iron would be double quick for camping dinners. It's a nice iron, but very heavy. Prefer my small aluminum ones.

This is supposed to pre seasoned, but it stuck the first use. Had to season it myself.
