Its a classic that WORKS... IF you know what the heck you are doing with it. Yeah its a little tight for 1 man plus his gear and you for sure won't be fitting two grown men in it without really getting to know each other, if you know what I mean. Its a breeze to set up and it ventilates well with both mesh windows open. Will keep you dry from the morning dew and very light misting rain, but to protect against the heavy rain storms that will absolutely soak one of these (as some less than knowledgeable reviewers have pointed out), pitch a tarp shelter and then pitch the tent under it. Keeps off the moderate to heavy rain and, as an added bonus, the hot mid-day sun if you are camping in the heat of summer. I have stayed in one of these tents for a full week at a time on numerous occasions at different summer camps. You simply can't beat it if you have the know how and common sense to use it to your advantage. A tent is a camping TOOL that requires "know how" to use. You wouldn't walk into a wood shop and starting cutting away on a band saw or a lathe without knowing what you are doing right? Same principal. Learn to use this camping tool correctly and you will never have a second thought to buy a different single man tent. Five starts all around.

great for overnighter and easy tent to anchor a tarp over in extreme rain. totally a smart buy. and its easier to set up then a 200 dollar tent about the same size. and with a 12 dollar tarp it seems way more weather proof. I own a lot of tents. its funny how some tent style created long ago is still the best style. and its the one that cost the least. buy it! drape a tarp over correctly and make one more pole for the front of tarp and have a great dry porch.

Bought this for my nephew for Christmas. For the price we were pleasantly surprised by the quality. To be sure: this isn't an REI-quality tent you'd want to take on a once-in-a-lifetime trip! But for light, casual use and fun backyard camping with the kids, it's just the ticket.

Im just starting to get stuff for a backpacking trip this summer and I don't have a bunch of experience with this tent just a few nights in the backyard and for the price i thing it is great the only issues i have with it are that it doesn't have much ventilation, the storage sack is coming apart on mine and the outer door (the one that not mesh) doesn't have a zipper its just a few ties. its a simple fix of buying a zipper and sowing it on. It has aluminium poles and a tarp like floor as long as tarp like storage bags for the poles and stakes. it also is very small when packed up in its storage sack.

I bought this tent for a trip to Big Bend National Park. I have a very nice large Coleman tent, but its a bit big for just one person and tough to set up alone. A trained monkey could set up this tent in about five minutes. As with all new tents, I sprayed it down with tent sealant and got an after market pair of tent stakes. (I was pleasantly surprised to find out the tent stakes that came with the tent were pretty sturdy, but I didn't want to take chances with the extremely tough ground at Big Bend) There was a little rain and some very high winds while I was there. This little tent stood up to it very well.PROs: Inexpensive, good quality (considering price), very compact, simple to set up.CONs: Small (wouldn't recommend for more than one person or anyone over 6 ft), Some minor condensation

Lets face it, its not meant as your camping tent, however lets also consider all the money we have left in our wallets. So if you dont like to buy junk, but need a tent that you can use more than once, and that wont shatter at the first sneeze of bad weather this is it. Super compact and very light, durable construction that should suffice when having to unexpectedly spend the night in the outback. Dont make this your primary tent though. Keep it on hand as backup or for emergencies and you should have a very positive experience with product.

I bought this because my husband and I were going backpacking and I didn't want to carry too much weight. I also didn't have much money to spend on a new tent. This tent weighs under 4 lbs. It's a tight fit for two adults, but manageable. I'm 5'7" so someone taller might find it too short.I think my only complaint is that there was quite a bit of condensation on the inside by morning, so if you are sleeping right against the walls, you are going to get a little wet. I slept in my multi-use rain poncho, so it didn't bother me, but my hubby was cold.It also comes with a bag, which is nice.
