This is a great set, has very detailed instructions, and is very good quality. However, it is fairly complicated and I wouldn't recommend it for beginners.

So the kit provides a great value for beginners like me to learn Arduino. Plenty of components to make experiments with, and because it's all standard you can buy more from companies like Adafruit.My one major caveat is that the instructions provided really don't tell you WHAT the commands do. They give you a pre-written script to install on the Mega, and instructions on how to connect everything. But nothing about what the commands do or how to write scripts. I had to buy another book for that.Overall it's a good value for the amount of parts you get, but don't rely on the included instructions to actually learn how to write code for the board.

I made this purchase not too long ago as a college student starting down the path of electrical engineering. I must say I have been thoroughly impressed by the quality and usefulness of this kit. As an electrical engineer, I found the kit to be a great introduction to various concepts and circuits, and it helped me learn a lot about robotics and programming. The kit was easy to use and came with clear instructions, and the components were of good quality and held up well to regular use. I also appreciated the fact that there are many projects and tutorials available online that I could follow to expand on the concepts covered in the kit. Overall, I would highly recommend this robotics starter kit to anyone interested in learning about robotics, electronics, and coding. It is a fun and engaging way to explore these subjects, and it provides a solid foundation for further learning and experimentation.

My little boy he is a genius. He had a electronic kit for kids he did it over 250 projects in 3 days and I decide to buy something more difficult. The instructions are not in paper need to download to the computer. At this point we can't do one projectNeed to use the computer and on the web site can't find the project for that kit. I don't recommended for kids.

Absolutely love this kit!!Just one problem: All the bread-board jumper wires had shorts in them. I couldn't find even one that kept a steady current. It took me a while to figure out what the problem was. I ended up having to toss all of them and purchase others separately.

I purchased this kit for myself around a month ago and couldn't get it to connect to my Windows 10 Laptop. Tried multiple times to no avail. I ended up digging up my old Galaxy Note 8 and connected it USB-C- USB via a OTG adapter still nothing. A month later I finally got around to buying a different USB Printer cord, and viola it finally connected with my Note 8. The lessons in the tutorial are easy enough for anyone who can read them to build and code the 33 included libraries. Haven't tried it on Windows 10 yet, being my computer has USB 3.1 plugs it might take some trial and error.

Before your start with this kit you should already know and understand basic electronics knowledge, such as knowing and understanding what a resistor is, what a capacitor is, what a transitor is and what these components do. Then you have to want to learn to code C. I really really wish RadioShack was still around because they had kits to build radios and such that would teach you everything about such things. Now it feels like knowledge is supposed to be a secret.

No instructions or online help. Too complicated to even begin without SOME sort of guidelines or help. Totally worthless and a waste of money and time. Avoid these like the plague.

Great variety of items in this kit and the components seem to be of good quality for designing neat circuits. I keep going back to this kit to put together small tools to perform various tasks. For example, a small critter was entering the house at night somewhere, so I was able to set up a motion sensor and run an alarm to my room to wake me when the animal was inside. It worked great and reliably to catch the invader. I'm excited to use the other items in this kit as challenges arise!

Not something you can just pickup and start learning, so definitely have the time and motivation to do digging on instructions and fun tutorials online.You can be very creative and learn to apply code quickly. Recommend it to middle school through college level learning.

This is a very good product for beginners that are interested in electronics. However, a small problem is in the code folder. When you open up Lesson 10 in code, you will discover a problem with the code. This is totally ok. This is normal when you either choose the wrong serial port, or another type of error discovered.For beginners:A bit of C and C programming is required, although if you see a exit status 1 on the black part, it means an error is discovered while compiling. However, you can still work with some other projects. Uploading: When seen red text, it typically means that an error is discovered. However, if you program a similar board with ESP32 and ESP8266 then at the first few lines, it means that it is writing the code and sending it to the EEPROM (if available) or Memory.

I only leave positive reviews but this kit has left me asking for more. A screwdriver? An eyeglass repair kit screwdriver will not do. It's a small thing really, but it's the details that count.
