This tool was worth every penny. The blades are sharp and the pneumatic action allows it to adjust to different thickness very easily. Makes edge banding a breeze

Works great on straight edges - didn't figure out how to use it on rounded corners. Is it even possible?

I've only used this so far on the edge of plywood with edge banding and not yet trimming only one edge, but it worked very nicely for that. The trimmer cuts smoothly and cleanly and leaves a nice edge to work with. The piston system is a nice upgrade from springs and makes it especially easy to reassemble the unit when you've had it apart.

This product exceeded my expectations right out of the box. There is zero learning curve and results in as near of a perfect finish as can be expected. I'm using 13/16 birch banding on 1/234; plywood. I've found that on one side I band as closely to the ply as possible, leaving quite a bit of banding on the other side which I trim to about 1/834; from the ply. Then using the quad trimmer I'm trimming about 1/834; on both sides which creates a terrific result.

I did a fair amount of research before I decided on this trimmer. The carbonite blades are so sharp and I could really get a solid grip on both sides of the edge banding. If you've never worked with one of these I would recommend watching a few videos beforehand and practice your technique on a piece of scrap with your edge banding on it. I also used Fastcap's end trimmers and double edge sander and was pretty pleased with them too.
