Power Hungry and somewhat fragile, but it works fine.

Purchased for the 34;siren34; alarm function, which works loud and well. Be aware, the instructions use an odd, uncommon battery description. This takes four D-batteries (USA).

Unit works, but it's not the best built. Seems somewhat cheaply made.

It works, but it is only about 1/3 as loud as the other Pyle Megaphone we have from years ago that we were trying to replace. For a field full of kids at carpool, it just isn't loud enough.

It's okay but very heavy given that it takes 6 D batteries. Better to get something else that is lighter.

The Item Description Says Six 34;C34; Batteries. This works off of 34;D34; batteries. $18 worth of non-returnable batteries later... C'mon, folks. Otherwise, this thing is pretty awesome. The hand-held microphone leaves something to be desired, but the alarm/music and speaking features work really well.

I was THIS CLOSE to returning this for a refund! I am a little nervous about not doing that since there are so many reports of these working for a while and then going kaput. The instructions that come with it are not correct. The 34;music34; function is an extreme detriment. If you mistakenly (or on purpose) press the 34;music34; button (the other button is 34;siren), you will hear the most gawd-awful noise being broadcast which does not sound like 34;music34; to anyone on this planet. It turns out that if you want to use it as a megaphone, DO NOT FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS AND PUSH THE 34;MUSIC34; BUTTON. Just leave that button alone, push the 34;ON34; button and speak into the microphone on the back of the unit or attach the hand-held microphone and speak into it. Other than that, it seems OK. A bit of advice: I would strongly suggest removing the batteries when not in use. Many of the 34;no longer works34; complaints might be caused by leaving the batteries in for a long time of non-use.
