It was easy to work with and made the subs sound so much better. It definitely got the job done.

No, not the one in your head - the space inside those cheap loudspeakers you bought! Stopped my Yamaha 3-ways from resonating at high volumn.

Stuffed this stuff into my Yamaha 6490. Significant boost to clarity and bass performance. Bass is tight and musical. Best part is the increase in clarity. My humble 6490's now sound like premium speakers! I had also replaced the stock electrolyte capacitors with Dayton Audio polypropylene ones. With both these changes, you can convert stock 6490 to high end speakers.

I bought one pound for my 6.5 subwoofer upgrade and I barely used a few handfuls. The bass feels boomy yet tight. Definitely worth using.

This works wonders in my Jeep soundbar and the speaker pods by my foot. I just put them in and they already slow that bass down and it doesn't bottom out as they used to while cranking it up to a good song...know that it will distort the louder you crank it up, but there is an extra notch or two before it does now when compare to not having it.I originally bought this for my sub box, but I came out with extra since there is so much packed into one bag. Thank you for that, by the way.

This stuff is not the same as the stuff that I bought years ago. I don't think it sounds as nice, either. It's much coarser and is like made of plastic or something, I can't imagine it does nearly as nice of a job as the original/genuine product. I did however find a decent replacement. Graham Salon CelluCotton Beauty Coil 100 Rayon. There's two kinds, cotton blend and rayon blend. I prefer rayon for finer, more consistent fibers. This stuff comes in a boxed roll, it's to keep hair product out of women's eyes, I believe, when they get perms and such, but it works beautifully for damping driver housings for my headphones. You just spread it thin with your fingers and then layer it up to fill the enclosure. It takes a bit of work thinning the roll out depending on the size of enclosure you're talking about filling, so if you're thinking of speakers do keep this in mind, but this rayon Cellucotton reminds me much more of the original product that I bought and loved. Bass sounds very nicely textured and the upper mids don't seem as shouty, overall I prefer the tuning of the Cellucotton to Acousta-stuf polyfill... YMMV.

There is a number of stores out there, including places like Hobby Lobby and Jo-Anne, where essentially the same material costs $4/lb. Go see for yourself. What can possibly be in this one that justifies the 500 mark up?

This is a great product for the diy subwoofer builder. I found the best way to fluff this stuff is a pair of afro picks as silly as it sounds. Hand fluffing is a long process and doesn't get you as nice of a fluff.
