This wooden puzzle offers a nice concept of teaching counting to children. But the way items are aligned in the puzzle is not good, they are sort of jumbled are not in a proper fashion due to which it becomes very tough for children to count them properly ( specially for the 2 digit numbers). My son use to like it but bcs of the complexity of alignment of pictures ne lose his interest as if the counting goes wrong puzzle will not fit.

It's a nice little toy. The pieces are a bit rough on the edge - they really want a touch of sanding to make them go together easily for toddlers learning their numbers. Then they would be perfect. The storage box they come with is super!

My grandson enjoys playing with this number set. The pictures that correspond to the matching numbers are small and not distributed in straight lines. This makes it difficult to count, but he's only 2 so that should be self-correcting in a short time. A plus is this set has a plastic lid that glides on the storage case and protects the set.

I was expecting the actual puzzle pieces to be wooden but only the box is wooden. Im not sure what the puzzle pieces are made of but theyre definitely not wood. Although, they are more sturdy and stiff than the standard jigsaw puzzle pieces. Ive bought plenty Melissa Doug toys for my child because I think theyre a great brand and my daughter loves them. This still is a great learning puzzle though I just dont think itll hold up as long as their other actual wooden toys Ive purchased.

I like it, but my kid finds it frustrating since it's not obvious which pieces should fit and which shouldn't. But it works as advertised.

Love this brand, but was a bit bothered that the puzzle pieces were not sanded properly. Thank goodness I check them out and sanded them, as my daughter may have gotten a splinter. Other than that, great product and my daughter approves!

My 6 year old challenged student could concentrate for some of this activity. Counting the little dots is not as engaging as counting objects that they have to pick up and put somewhere.

They work ok, but kids of course don't want to learn. They want to play.

I bought for my son who is little over 2.5 yrs. he already knows numbers 1-100 and knows some counting. I want to make sure his fundamentals are good. It is a great puzzle to learn counting. I liked pieces from 1-10 and their design. For pieces 11-20, I think puzzle pieces should have bigger like double the size in length and width. Kids need space to count when there are too many items.
