Works as expected easy to install

When I refused to pay the post office $50 for a new lock (old one destroyed by thieves) I needed a quick and easy solution. The lock fit into my neighborhood cluster box easily but none of the latches were long enough to securely close the box. We got lucky that our mailman pulled up as we were installing this and had extra latches; he said they don't make them for our box anymore so he collects old ones he finds. While this lock is very inexpensive, I recommend measuring the latch size you need before purchasing!

Great product

This particular lock set fit the mailbox in my building perfectly, one I switched out the little piece on the back. The assortment of catches were numbered and I needed a 24, and mine had 27, 25 so it wouldn't work at first so I used the 24 off the old lock set....easy as pie

Just what I need

This little lock as perfect for my mailbox as my old one rusted out. They give you a few different locking mechanisms so there should be one that fits most mail boxes. It works great and locki amd unlock with the key is nice and smooth.The only reason I am giving it 4 stars is because it didn't quite fit the lock hole perfectly flush. I might have an old cast iron mail box that is probably something like 25 years old. The round hole has a little lip on it which I would imagine helps keep out water when it rains. But the lock barely fits right in the hole because if this so I had to place it, remove, and re-position again quite a few times to get it to be level and lock in place. It might just be my old mail box. But it works great and I recommend it.

Works good. Only downfall is u can't take the key out unless it's locked
