Very attractive recorder. Dark brown with ivory. (Some pictures of the 509b online look white, but it is ivory and perfectly matched to the rest of the line.) Pieces fit together snugly (use the grease), but aren't too tight.
Builds condensation very quickly and gets clogged easily, so warm it up before playing.
Very responsive and switching octaves is a snap.
Solid material, three pieces, soft travel bag with soft divider (instrument travels in pieces), short cleaning rod, and "cork" grease. Fingering chart for F&C key recorders included.
